Also, there is a video on FB from HG Amarendra Pr from Boston.

- Doing things just for rules and regulations can give you arrogance
- Don't criticize, but instead fill your lives with reading SP books and engage family in reading K books.
- Nityananda Pr is the incarnation of mercy. He is our shelter.
- Thinking of Krsna means trying to think and contemplate on Krsna by meditating on verses

Reflection

Hare Krsna! Standing in the immigration line, having just landed from Vrindavan, checking my email, I read about the sad news of Vikasni's parents.

Many thoughts whizzed in my head suddenly - What? Am I reading this correctly? How did this happen? How is little Vikasni, hope mataji is recovering well! Parthasarathi Prabhu and me had led the afternoon kirtan just 4 weeks back and it was so wonderful! I was asked to watch Vikasni and her friend at breakfast one Sunday while her mom was doing seva, remembering my interactions with both of them and was so motivated to hear how sincere she was in her spiritual life.

Still standing in the immigration line in shock, my heart went out to the whole family. When I met Shilpa outside the airport, I inquired and got to know mataji is still critical. All of them have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since I landed from Vrindavan! It made me realize how short life is. I try to make so many plans/lists, but death can meet me at any moment. It also made me realize, that we are so lucky to have got KC in our lives and how important it is now to utilize every second in Krsna's service, in serving Vaisnavas, chanting the Holy Name attentively and reading/distributing Srila Prabhupada's books. How important it is to always leave everyone with a good impression and be compassionate to everyone!

I just read HG Gopi Gita mataji's post about Vikasni's first day back at school earlier this week and was amazed to read how firm her faith in Krsna is:
"Maharaj said that Krishna needed my father. I'll see him and Krishna again at the end of this life. It won't be so long."
"My Gopal is there. How can I get Him?"

It made me think how pure her devotion is. This is what Krsna explained to Arjuna - we are this soul, it's eternal, can't be cut to pieces. The body is temporary. It also made me remember what Srila Prabhupada says in SB 3.4.23 purport- "Vidura was informed that the result of the Battle of Kurukṣetra was the annihilation of his friends and relatives as well as the destruction of the Yadu dynasty and also the passing away of the Lord. All these hurled him into bereavement for the time being, but because he was highly advanced in transcendental knowledge, he was quite competent to pacify himself by enlightenment. As it is stated in Bhagavad-gītā, due to our long association with bodily relationships, bereavement on account of the annihilation of friends and relatives is not at all astonishing, but one has to learn the art of subduing such bereavement with higher, transcendental knowledge." - Hearing what Vikasni said, made me realize how advanced she is in KC, she has realized the higher, transcendental knowledge. I hope and pray to follow in her footsteps so I can also have firm faith and go deeper than the bodily platform and connect on the spiritual level.

Also, seeing the outpouring response on the gofundme page - only shows how Krsna takes care of his sincere devotees. It also made me realize how compassionate Vaisnavas are, always going over and beyond!

Dear Sri Sri Radha Kalachandji, Dear Giri Govardhan please keep Vikasni's family close to you. Please engage me, Shilpa, Vivaan and Paarth to be able to serve them in any way you would like. Please allow Mother Lilavati to recover completely and continue to shower your mercy on little Vikasni. Thank you for considering our request!

Your servant,
Naimisaranya Dasa
