Attendance

Denver, CO

On our drive to the temple yesterday, I saw a bumper sticker that said:

"My child had perfect attendance at Midvale Highschool last semester."

After reading this, I imagined the grit that it must have taken for this child to have perfect attendance. Next, I remembered the power of keeping steady attendance with one's daily sadhana.

One who starts the process of bhakti yoga can expect a constant flow of obstacles. But, the bhakti yogi who shows up for his or her daily practice - despite whatever impediments come - will experience uncanny success.

Srila Prabhupada writes:

"The yoga practitioner should be determined and should patiently prosecute the practice without deviation. One should be sure of success at the end and pursue this course with great perseverance, not becoming discouraged if there is any delay in the attainment of success. Success is sure for the rigid practitioner." (Bg. 6.24; purport)

With gratitude and affection,
